It is recommended that each participant has the following equipment to ensure their safety:
Suitable footwear: Specific trail running shoes are the best option for grip and support, but traditional running shoes are also suitable, as long as they have sufficient tread remaining on the sole.
Given the course is up in the Pukeiti ranges, a waterproof or wind-resistant jacket would be helpful: A jacket that will protect you from the changeable weather conditions is useful (but not compulsory), and can be tied around the waist if it is not needed.
It is highly recommended that participants have some warm dry clothes to change into after the event.
All participants are required to be self-sufficient – there are no drink aid stations on the course.
We will be supplying electrolyte replacement drink at the finish area but we are a cupless event so there will be NO CUPS supplied.
There is food and drink available before and after the event
Parking is available at Pukeiti Gardens on Carrington Road.
We have over $2000 worth of spot prizes to give away! Spot prizes will be awarded on the day. At the completion of your run, please check in the event tent to see if your registered number has been drawn for a spot prize.
Bryn Gibson from Bryn Gibson Massage and Natural Health will be there to offer massage - $10 for 10 min. Get in quick!
There are toilet facilities within Pukeiti Gardens.
