THE GOOD HOME HALF MARATHON

This event is a held over one lap of the course, utilising forestry tracks, walking tracks, bridle tracks, mountain bike tracks, and gravel roads. Participants must be 16 years or over on the day of the event.

There is a cut off time at 10.5km of 2.5hours. If participants are not at the cut-off point by this time they will not be able to go any further. This is to ensure we have left the lake area by the time agreed upon with the New Plymouth Mountain Bike Club.

TRAINING PLAN - Click here for a sample training plan for a beginner to intermediate runner.

WR PHILLIPS SUBARU TARANAKI HALF MARATHON RELAY

The course is the same as the Half Marathon. Teams of TWO. You will decide who runs the first half and who runs the second half. The changeover is at the Event Centre/Finish line. If you have run the Quarter Marathon before and wanted to see the rest of the course without having to do the Half Marathon, here is your chance!

Relay price is per team (not per person). You will need a team captain for event liaison and one person will pay for the team during the entry process.

THE FRONTRUNNER QUARTER MARATHON (10.5km)

This event is held over the first half of the half marathon course utilising forestry tracks, walking tracks, bridle tracks, and gravel roads. Participants must be 10 years or over on the day of the event.

BODY LOGIC 5KM FUN RUN

This event is run over forestry tracks, walking tracks and gravel roads. Participants must be 8 years or over on the day of the event.

Please note: All courses have beautiful scenery, with views of the mountain and lake.

Registration

All participants must collect their race packs and race number with timing tag prior to starting the event. Please provide photo ID upon collection. This is a Health and Safety requirement.

Friday January 12th 2024: The Frontrunner 25 Devon Street East, NP - between 4pm and 8pm.

Saturday January 13th 2024: Lake Mangamahoe Event Centre, Plantation Rd, New Plymouth - between 6am and 7:30am. (No one will be given their race packs after 7:30am).

Each event pack will contain a race bib, timing tag, important safety information, sponsors products and randomly drawn minor spot prizes.

All participants must wear a race bib, timing tag and have read the safety information.

Event Day Timetable

All events will start at 8am sharp on Saturday 13th January. This includes the Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon and 5km events, and the Team Relay. Make sure you give yourself enough time to get parked up on time before the event.

Please note: Winners in each category will be decided by the fastest time, not first across the line. It is therefore important that fast competitive runners are allowed the opportunity to start near the front of the pack on the start line.

Race Bibs and Timing Tag

These must be attached to your front and be visible at all times. This year all participants who have entered before 31st December 2023 will get their own personalised race bib with their name on it.

Event Photos

All participants pay what they want (pwyw) for their event photos from photos4sale.co.nz. Allan Ure is arguably the premier event photographer in the country and he and his team took some amazing pictures in 2021. All participants will receive their pre-race photos taken at registration, free of charge.

Event Medals

All Half Marathon finishers will receive a medal when they finish the 2024 event.
