Event #2 - LED Lenser NIGHT MISSION - Sunday 28th May - 6pm

Proudly supported by.......

If you enjoyed Event #1 - YOU WILL LOVE OUR NIGHT MISSION!

Held within the confines of the world renowned Pukekura Park, the NIGHT MISSION is an adventure you do not want to miss!

You will be guided around the course by your headlight (which is a compulsory piece of equipment), high visibility flags and glow sticks. Since this series started in 2013 - this event has ROCKED and consistently been the most popular event of the series!

Can I walk the course? We get asked this question all the time, and the answer is YES!!!!!!!!! You sure can walk the course, but for time constraint reasons you can only walk the 2km and 6km course.

But I am scared of running in the dark!? Don't be! Our course will be well marked to guide you, and we are sure that someone of your ability will be there to run/walk with you. With over 400 participants there will be a high chance you will be running close to other people.

HEADLIGHTS ARE COMPULSORY. No headlight - no participation. Make sure you have fully charged batteries, or a spare set with you. It pays to make sure the headlamp is operational before you use it.

Enter the NIGHT MISSION in store at the Frontrunner and go in the draw to win a LED headlamp! These headlamps are so powerful and make running at night so much easier.

It is recommended that each participant has the following equipment to ensure their safety:

  • Suitable footwear: Specific trail running shoes is the best option for grip and support, but traditional running shoes are also suitable, as long as they have sufficient tread remaining on the sole. Visit The Frontrunner to see their comprehensive range of trail running shoes, and get expert advice from their team.
  • Waterproof or wind resistant jacket: A jacket that will protect you from the changeable weather conditions is useful (but not compulsory), and can be tied around the waist if it is not needed.
